Abstract Painting.
Improvised Painting, or an Abstract Painting. 2009. 910 x 760.
I did not realize of what an intellectual nature abstract painting was, or how in depth it was. Nor of the conscious, deliberate, engagement with the work one must undertake to achieve a truly abstract piece. There are a lot of mediocre artists that create "abstract" work because its easy to do, and they pass it off as "abstract" and their "style" so as an easy means to make a profit. Having now an understanding into abstraction, I believe that to create a photo real naturalistic narrative, is far easier than creating a fully abstracted, intellectual, conceptual piece that partakes in a conversation with its viewer.
